Samuel Lee Young

Samuel Lee Young of Annapolis, Missouri passed away January 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 31, 1928 in Minimum, Missouri the son of the late Winford and Janie (Douglas) Young. On September 1, 1946, he was united in marriage to Betty Jane Cox. He cherished her for seventy years until she preceded him in death on April 29, 2016. To this union four children were born: Betty "Betsy" Case of Campbell, Missouri, Bryan E. Young who preceded him in death, Faron Young of Des Arc, Missouri and Gwen Pratt of Annapolis, Missouri. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren, his cousin Helen Jackson of Riverside, California as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and son, Sam was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Tina Young and his son-in-law, Steve Pratt, his great grandson, William Samuel Pratt, and all of his siblings.
