Sandra Fay Gorse

Sandra Fay Gorse age 89 passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at her home near Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on August 29, 1935, in Mill Creek, Missouri to William Jennings and Bessie Caroline (Wray) East.

On May 9, 1982, in Nowata, Oklahoma, she was married to Joseph Gorse, he preceded her in death on August 6, 2014.

She is survived by her children – Ronnie Montgomery, Kevin Montgomery both of Fredericktown, Deborah (Bill) Parson of Marquand and Donna Biri of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sons – Kenneth Montgomery and Ricky Montgomery; one brother – Junior East and one sister - Symble East.

Sandra had worked as a cook at the Farmington Correctional Facility in Farmington, Missouri; in the past she enjoyed working with crafts; she loved taking care of her flowers and vegetable garden; she was a member of the Farmers Market and she and her husband, Joe would spend the weekend selling their fruits and vegetables; she was a member of the Mill Creek Free Will Baptist Church..

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.

Interment will be at Black Mountain Cemetery near Fredericktown.
