Sharon Lee Bader, age 78 of Van Buren, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at her daughters home in DeSoto, Missouri. She was born on May 13, 1938 in Ellensburg, Washington, a daughter of Richard F. Mudd Jr. and Norma Ellen (Jude) Mudd. In 1959 she was united in marriage to Fred A. Bader who preceded her in death on January 21, 1989. Her parents and two sisters also precedes her.
She is survived by two sons - Steve (Kammy) Bader of Loon Lake, Washington and Brian (Tammy) Bader of Everson, Washington; two daughters - Mitzi (Gary) Erb of DeSoto and Suzanne Stanley of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother - Richard Mudd of Reno, Nevada; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Sharon had lived in Issaquah, Washington for many years until moving to Van Buren in 1993. She worked at the Float Stream and Big Springs Restaurants until buying the Hungry Owl Restaurant which she operated until 2007; she also worked at the Ozark National Scenic Riverways until the fall of 2016 and also volunteered at the nutrition center. She loved to read, plant flowers, do word search games and watch Cardinals Baseball. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Van Buren and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Van Buren. Condolences may be posted on this website.
