Sherman Marler

          Sherman Marler, 81, of Park Hills passed away April 28, 2022, at Jefferson Mercy in Festus.  He was born November 27, 1940, in Farmington, to the late Jess and Hazel (Knox) Marler.  He was a member of Big River Church in Mineral Point and loved singing in church and spending time with his grandchildren.  Sherman and his late wife owned and operated Marler’s Pump Service for 16 years, and in his spare time, enjoyed treating himself to a Hunt's Dairy Bar burger.    

          He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara (Matthews) Marler, whom he married in March of 1961; son, Ronald Wayne Marler, Sr.; and several siblings.

          Sherman is survived by his son, Donald (Laura) Marler of Pacific; grandchildren, Ronnie Marler, Jr., Josh Marler, Emma Marler, Lukas Marler; and great-grandson, Tatum Marler; several nieces and nephews, also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington, with graveside prayer, led by Rev. James Pasha.  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
