Sharon Kay (Parker) Bowen, known to most as Sherri, passed away June 15, 2017 in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born November 13, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas; the daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Parker and Velma Ellen (Carpenter) Parker of Arcadia, Missouri. Sharon graduated from Mineral Area College as a Registered Nurse. She worked in many fields from Emergency, ICU, traveling nurse and as a charge nurse. She was very loving and compassionate to every patient. Nursing and caring for others was her pride and it made her family extremely proud of the selfless work she did for others. Sharon is survived by her mother Velma Parker of Arcadia, Missouri; her children Shawn Pingleton and wife Kim of Branson, Missouri, daughter Tracy Oliden and husband Juan of Bastrop, Texas; six grandchildren: Kary Young Perez, and husband Jerrimy, Kelsey Pomeroy and husband Sam, Christopher Oliden, Kaitlynn Black, Kassadee Pingleton and Isabella Oliden and three great grandchildren: Kayelee Naveah Perez, Rayden Parker Perez and Kinslee Lynn Black. Sharon is survived by two brothers David Parker and wife Debbie, Tomas Parker and wife Jeanne and one sister: Vicky Parker, a very special friend Linda Province as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father Thomas Clayton Parker. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her passion in life was caring for others, loving and talking about Jesus and her favorite hobby was shopping. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Harvest Christian Centre Caledonia Campus at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dale Stringer officiating. A short fellowship and a balloon release will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
