Sherwood Conway

            Sherwood Conway, 72, of Leadwood, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 23, 1946, in Elvins, to the late, Willard and Blanche (Coffman) Conway. Sherwood was a member of the Frankclay Assembly of God Church, and Masonic Lodge for Leadwood / Irondale. He loved fishing and drag racing.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Onetta White and husband Herman, and Norma Hoff; in-laws, John Nations, Betty Conway, Arthur and Myrtle McClanahan, Joe McClanahan, Elmer McClanahan, Wilma and Ivan McCutcheon, Carrie McClanahan, Fred Sellers, and Ken Ferrell.

            Sherwood is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris (McClanahan) Conway; children, Troy Conway and wife Denise, Kimberly Dee and husband Todd, Chad (Misti Horton) Conway; grandchildren, Desiree, Whitney, Justin, Cole, Drew, Remi, Alicia, Jake, Andrew, Anthony, Jordanne and Chasten; siblings, Verneil Nations, Leon (Frankie) Conway, and Clyde Conway; in-laws, Norma Sellers, Ruth Ann Ferrell, Paula (Dennis) Huff, and Gerald Hoff; his furry companion Bo; many nieces and nephews also survive. The Conway family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff of Preferred Hospice.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials may be directed to Community Church of God in DeSoto.
