Shirley Anne Hanners

            Shirley Hanners, 85, of Farmington, formerly Bonne Terre, passed away February 16, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. She was born October 17, 1930 in St. Louis, to the late John and Georgia (Henry) Robertson.   Shirley was a guidance counselor in public education for more than 30 years and then retired from Hazelwood Central High School.

              She is also preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Joe Villers; and one sister, Betty Beffa.

             Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Donald Hanners; two daughters, Cindy (Mrs. Alan) Simms of St. Louis and Dana (Mrs. Phillip) Tuell of Alabama; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, John Robertson; and two step-daughters, Sue Hanners (Mrs. Edwin) Stead of Florida and Sally (Mrs. Steve) Alderson of Kentucky.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM. Reverend Bob Webb will be officiating. Interment is scheduled at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in St. Louis, Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:15 AM. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
