Shirley Mae Aslinger

Shirley Mae Aslinger, age 83 passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her home near Patton, Missouri. She was born on February 13, 1938, in East St. Louis, Illinois to Anthony Frank and Florence Margaret (Chalk) Korecky. On November 17, 1956, she was united in marriage to Harold Glenwood Aslinger, he survives at the home. Other survivors include: one son - Harold Gene Aslinger of Patton; two daughters – Sheila Miller of Cherokee Pass and Diana Brewington of Fredericktown, Missouri; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son – Douglas Aslinger and one brother – Raymond "Butch" Dillow. Shirley owned and operated the Pioneer Western Wear & More retail store in Fredericktown for many years; she enjoyed crocheting, working Find a Word books, bible study and going to church at Liberty Methodist Church near Marquand. Visitation will be from 5:00- 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown and from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Liberty Methodist Church in near Marquand, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Liberty Methodist Church with Pastor Jamie Hovis officiating. Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery near Patton.
