Shirley Langley

          Shirley Langley, 86, of Park Hills, passed away October 18, 2021, at Camelot Nursing Center in Farmington.  She was born August 23, 1935, in Esther, to the late Leo and Blanche (Kennon) McWilliams.  She graduated from Esther High School in the class of 1953, and was proud to be an Esther Pirate.  Shirley attended the Gumbo Church of God.  She was an avid reader and had a strong work ethic.  Shirley enjoyed spending time with her great-granddaughter, Karley Grace and was a staunch supporter of the Central Rebels, whom she loved going to their sporting events.  She also enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals and watching their games on television.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin “Chuck” Langley; great-grandson, Cole Alexander Parson; sister, Betty Marler; sister in-law, Gwendolynn “Hap” Edgar; brother in-law, Donald Langley; and her furry friend Toto, whom she greatly adored.

          Shirley is survived by her children, Brad (Lori) Langley and Kelley (Jim McGee) Allen; two grandchildren, Ashley (Shaun) Parson and Paul (Amanda) Porterfield; three great-grandchildren, Emma (Brendan) Pingel, Christopher Paul Porterfield and Karley Grace Parson; siblings, J.D. McWilliams, Carroll (Elaine) McWilliams and Wanda (Ben) Merritt; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.  

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM until the service time at 12:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
