Shirley Mae Smith

Shirley Mae (Hood) Smith, 62, of Bonne Terre passed away July 20, 2014 at Jefferson Barracks Hospital. She was born December 10, 1951 in Salem, MO. Shirley was preceded in death her husband, John Allen Smith; father, William R. Hood; Brother, Gary Hood. Shirley is survived by her mother, Betty Jane (Miller) Warden; daughters, Christina (Jeffrey) Nail, Mara (Johnny) Smith, Jamie (Dennis) Pyeatt; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, William "Bill" (Karen) Hood, Donald (Carolyn) Hood, Ronald (Sue) Hood; sister, Mary (Ron) Barber. Visitation will be Tuesday July 22, 2014 from 5 to 9 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. William Baier officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family in care of Boyer Funeral Homes.
