"Shoutin Shirley"

Shirley Mae Mills, "Shoutin Shirley" age 87 of Boonville, Missouri (formerly of Patton, Missouri) passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Ashley Manor Care Center in Boonville, Missouri. She was born on March 13, 1935, in St. Ann, Missouri to Howard and Lea Derek.

On December 24, 1954, in Marble Hill, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Garth Mills; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2020.

He is survived by one daughter – Sharon Peterson of New Franklin, Missouri; five grandchildren – Heather (Phillip) Mize, Linzie Mills, Lacey Mills, Nick (Stephanie) Mills, Mike Peterson; seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley is preceded in death by two son – Stephen Mills and Bud Mills;

one daughter – Marty Allen, two grandsons, Josh Mills and Pete Peterson and granddaughter, Jessica Peterson.

Shirley had worked at Heritage Hills Nursing Home in Patton as a Level 1 Med Tech; she enjoyed cooking, drawing, taking care of her family. Shirley loved the Lord and loved going to church where she was a member of Patton Outreach Church in Patton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., also on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Patton Outreach Church in Patton, Missouri with Bro. Doyle Williamson officiating.

Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery near Marquand.
