Shirley Ann Mitchell

Shirley Ann Mitchell, age 70 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Center in Fredericktown. She was born on April 9, 1946 in Cairo, Illinois. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Vivian Mitchell.     She is survived by several friends whom she enjoyed talking to on the phone; she also enjoyed doing crafts, listening to country music and watching TV, especially old westerns. One of her accomplishments in life was overcoming her fear of driving and to get her drivers license; she did this in her late fifties. She was a Fredericktown High School graduate and had taken some training so could help her grandmother run a foster home.       Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.  Interment will be at the Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.      Condolences may be posted on this website.
