Terre Du LacShirley Maxine (Hendricks) Vernon, 71, Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the LORD Friday October 12, 2012. She was born March 22, 1941, Jacksonville, Missouri, and is survived by her husband Rocky(of 46 years), two daughters and their spouses---Cheryl and Jim Samarzich of Festus, MO.--- Cindy and Jason Norton of Webster Groves, MO.She is also blessed with four Grandchildren---Charlie Samarzich, Emma, Ethan, and Edward Norton, by sister Sharon DeMint (Mike) of Cairo, MO. Two brothers---Jim Hendricks (Kay) of Moberly, MO. and Bob Hendricks (Royann) of Cairo. along with nieces, nephews, and a HOST of Christian Friends.Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Cairo High (MO), a 1961 graduate of Hannibal LaGrange College, a 1965 RN graduate from Saint Marys School of Nursing (Kansas City, MO). Shirley retired from Washington County Hospital in 1994.Visitation and Funeral services will be conducted at Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church, 601 Buckley Street, Park Hills, MO.Visitation time will be 10 am to 1 pm on Tuesday October 16, 2012.Funeral services will follow @ 1 pm with Reverend Wayne Phillips officiating.Interment services will be held in the Committal Shelter at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO. @ 1 pm Wednesday October 17, 2012 with Cody DeMint officiating. Arrangements are under the care of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
