Stanley Lee Roy

Stanley Roy of Farmington passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the age of 69. He was born on Saturday, February 17, 1953 to the late Thomas E. and Anna Marie (Pashia) Roy. Also, Stanley was preceded in death by his in-laws, Junior and Shelba (Lucas) Odle; one son, William Roy; step-daughter, Amy Lou Strauser; brother, Joseph I. Roy; brother in-law, William Heifner; and infant sister-in-law, Linda Odle.

Stan was a member of Farmington Church of God. He enjoyed watching Nascar and you would frequently see him at the St. Francois County Raceway, where he would step in and help in the pit when needed. Stan was an all-around good guy that liked to joke with others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary (Odle) Roy; two step-children, Peggy Sue (William) Hicks, Sammy Joe Strauser; three step-grandchildren, eight siblings; Janice Heifner, Patricia (Bob) Bone, Thomas J. (Patricia) Roy, Edward (Patricia) Roy, Sue (Mike) Yost, Timothy (Peggy) Roy, Carol (Lonnie) Brewer, and Nancy (Tim) Dickey; sisters-in-law, Judy Roy, Tina Odle; brothers-in-law, Joe Odle, Randy (Tonya) Odle, Roger Odle and Jeff Odle. Stan will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Friday, January 13, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Josh Vandergraph will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home to go toward funeral expenses.
