Sue Grounds

          Carolyn Sue Grounds, 82, of Bismarck, passed away October 30, 2018 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born October 21, 1936, in Elvins, to the late Rev. Tom and Edith (Russell) Barton. Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bismarck. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and dog Tiny.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carson Barton; and two daughters in-law, Sally Grounds and Kelly Grounds; granddaughter, Amanda Don Grounds.

            Sue is survived by three children, Gale Grounds, Rob Grounds and fiancé Nina, Sandy Jaco and husband Emery; nine grandchildren, Leeann Fisher, Heather (Tony) Petrie, Amy (RC) Malcolm, Angie (Justin) Saunders, Gabe (Katie) Nicholson, Chad (Tara) Grounds, Jessica Casteel, Kayla Casteel, and Robbie (Cayla) Grounds; nineteen great-grandchildren, Karlee, Jake, Brandi, Sydney, Courtney, Christie, Raven, Bryce, Amira, Jamison, Parker, Gage, Jaxson, Eli, Ean, Sophie, Nora, Eternity, and Avi; sister, Marilyn (Gary) Miller; several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume Friday, November 2, 2018 at 9:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Reverend Tim Gray will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pendleton Cemetery in Doe Run. Memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society.
