Sylvia Jeanette Larkin

Sylvia Jeanette Larkin, of Sunset Hills, MO., began her life with Jesus Sunday morning, July 30, 2006, at the age of 65 years, 5 months & 28 days, after a prolonged fight with liver cancer. She was the daughter of Walter L. Cleve (d. Dec. 1961) & Bertha Estelle 'Hoehn' Cleve (d. March 1994) & born in Farmington, on Feb. 2, 1941. Also preceding was 1 brother, Melvin "Shorty" Cleve.

Survivors Include: her husband of 44 years, Phillip N. Larkin, of Sunset Hills. Her siblings: Virginia (Chester) Rickus; William (Alma Dean) Cleve; Betty (Charles E.) Carleton; Barbara (Jesse) Cortor; Ruby (Jim) Gifford, all of Farmington. Carol Cleve, of St. Louis; Sonny (Vicky) Cleve, of Farmington; Ray Lynn (Nancy) Cleve, of Ellisville & Sandy (David) Krajcovic, of St. Louis.

As an avid tennis player & golfer, Sylvia enjoyed life to the fullest whether she was cooking one of her famous dishes; enjoying coffee with a friend; attending Bible study or helping care for one of her great nieces or nephews. Sylvia was a long time member of Concord Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and above all, friend. All of Sylvia's extended family, brothers & sisters-in-law; numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces & nephews, and great, great-nieces & nephews, and countless number of her friends will remember her with the rigor and humor with which she enjoyed life.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., August 2, 2006, at Memorial United Methodist Church, Farmington, with Rev. Greg Weeks officiating, under direction of Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington.

Interment immediately following the funeral service at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
