Ted Hamby

Theodore "Ted" Fredrick Hamby, age 79, of Terre Du Lac, Missouri passed away October 24, 2011 at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1932 in Ellington, Missouri. Theodore attended Centenary United Methodist Church and was a long time dedicated member of the Mineral Area Elks Lodge #2583 serving as treasurer for over twenty years. Ted served his country in the United States Air Force. Ted was a McDonnell Douglas Retiree with 35 years of service. His last position he held was the Program Manager for the Saudi Arabia Program.He is preceded in death by his parents William Fredrick and Alta (Fairchild) Hamby, son Robert Theodore Hamby and brother John Hamby.Ted is survived by wife Elaine (Fair) Hamby; sister Trevia Bounds and husband Leroy; sister in law Sarah Hamby; brother in law Gene Fair and wife Pam; sister in law Janet and husband Wes McGary; several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, MO.Elks service will begin at 7 pm. Service will take place Thursday October 27, 2011 at 10 am in the chapel of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, MO with Michael Kelpe officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery in Winona at 2 pm. Memorials may be directed to Centenary United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
