Thelma Lucille Dodd

Thelma Lucille Dodd, age 81passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at her home near Marble Hill, Missouri. She was born on June 20, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Emanuel Hurby and Meta Minnie (Moran) Barks.

She was united in marriage to Earl Eugene Dodd, he preceded her in death on May 18, 2010.

She is survived by one sister – Doris Williams of Marble Hill;

four nieces – Debbie (Chad) Hollingsworth, Darlene (Eddie) Thompson, Dolores James and Mary (Jerry) Gray and one nephew – Adam (Rhonda) Collins.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters – Doloras Link and her husband Woodrow and Sharon Collins.

Thelma had worked as a home health caretaker for Comfort Keeper Home Health; she enjoyed reading romance novels and driving to lakes and rivers where the waters were calming; she loved taking care of her family and on each of their birthdays she would drive to Louisiana to buy their cake.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
