Thelma Jean "Jeanie" Marler, age 70 passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at her brothers home near Silva, Missouri. She was born February 23, 1946 in Shook, Missouri, a daughter of Thomas Jackson and Vivian Roxie (Johnson) Leach. On October 17, 1982 in Silva she was united in marriage to Gilbert Marler, he preceded her in death on April 9, 2012. Her parents and daughter, Sheila Adams, sons, Donald and Wayne Marler and granddaughter, Rehena Nassar also precedes her in death.
She is survived by her children - Jimmy Moss of Hopedale, Illinois and Paula Peterson of Broseley, Missouri, Raquel Cumby of Texas and Bridgett Barnhill of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; brother - Tommy Leach of Silva; sisters - Glenda Whitaker of Poplar Bluff and Brenda Barker of Silva; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Jeanie had worked as dispatcher for Del-Monte Foods in Forest Park, Illinois; she enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, taking care of her family and going to church where she was a member at the Highway Missionary Baptist Church near Greenville, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Highway Missionary Baptist Church near Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Church with Bro. Robert Randolph officiating.
Internment will be at the Center Ridge Cemetery in Greenville.
