Thomas "Tom" R Moon

Thomas R Moon age, 82 of DeSoto, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his residence. He was born Thursday, July 18, 1940, in St. Louis, to the late Elmer K. and Eugenia E. (Thurman) Moon.  

Tom was a well respected teacher of English, Speech and Drama at West County and North County schools. When not instructing young minds, Tom enjoyed music. He played guitar and would assist young musicians form their own band. He loved drama and theatre. Tom was the sound engineer for numerous plays at Mineral area College. He had a great voice for radio and DJ'd at KFMO and KYRO.

Tom is survived by his sister, Shirley Takatz; nephews, Mark, Scott and Steve Takatz. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at North County High School Auditorium in Bonne Terre, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
