Toni Kuehnle

           Toni Kuehnle, 68, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1950 in Bonne Terre to the late Henry O. and Jennie Louise (McGeorge) Smith.

           Toni joined the Navy and earned the rank of Commander, serving as a nurse and in various health administration roles all over the country. She lived in Florida, Hawaii and Washington DC, hosting family and friends wherever she was posted. After retiring from the Navy, she joined forces with Spectrum Healthcare Resources, rising to Chief Operating Officer, and becoming an integral piece of the growth and success of that company and traveling all over the country closing business deals. After retirement from her second career; she traveled overseas, adopted numerous cats and dogs, and cared for her mother. Her children, and her grandchildren, when they arrived, were her pride and joy and benefited from her energy and her time.

           Toni was a force and made an impression on everyone who crossed her path. She was big-hearted and generous, unflinchingly honest and maintained high standards. She took great pleasure in hosting events for family and friends, mowing her lawn, watching Jeopardy and ending the day with a glass of white wine and three ice cubes.

           Toni is survived by her loving children, Robert Kuehnle and wife Teresa, Erin Eilene Spear and husband Phil; four grandchildren, Griffin and Clarke Spear, Michael and Madison Kuehnle; siblings, Eilene Koon and husband Steve, Henry Smith and wife Lynne, Jim Smith and wife Charma; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family.

           Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:30 AM until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM in the C.Z.
