Tressa Mahurin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tressa Margaret Mahurin, age 60, who passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at her residence in Desloge surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Monday, October 3, 1966, in Farmington to the late Marvin T. and Ora B. (Sutton) Mahurin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Turner. Tressa devoted over 30 years of her life to serving the community as a pharmacy technician, beginning her career at Dicus Drugs in Farmington and culminating her journey at Family Care Pharmacy, BJC. She loved her work and had an unwavering commitment to her patients, always striving to ensure their health and well-being. Tressa was a passionate individual who found joy in the simpler pleasures of life. Outside of her professional endeavors, she loved to sew and dedicated countless hours to creating beautiful quilts and crafts. Her creative spirit and nurturing touch were felt by all who received her handmade gifts. Tressa also cherished her time with her beloved fur baby, Addy, who was always by her side and provided her with comfort and companionship. 

She is survived by her loving son, Jeremy Mahurin and wife, Kristie Mahurin; cherished granddaughter, Megan; sisters, Terrie (Bruce) Belvin and Verna (Paul) Fryman; three half-sisters; special nieces, Amber (Chris) Petty, Breanna (Austin) Moody; special great-nieces and nephews, Cole, McKenzie, Emma and Hudson along with other nieces, nephews, friends and beloved coworkers. Tressa's love for her family was boundless, and her legacy will live on through them.

Memorial visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM. Memorials in Tressa’s memory can be made to The Pink Penguin Project. (link below)
