Gertrude Rosa “Trudy” Brown, 90, of Farmington passed away May 25, 2026 at Farmington Presbyterian Manor. She was born May 5, 1936 in Bonne Terre to the late Alfred and Mabel (Wigger) Dodson. Trudy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington, where she cherished her church family and the many friendships she made through the years. She found great joy in cooking and baking for those she loved, always making others feel welcome with a warm meal and a kind heart. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, creating countless memories that will be lovingly remembered.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two spouses, Arthur Vincent and Donald Brown; son, Gerald Jinkerson; siblings, Ethel Turley Gross, Irvin Dodson, Audrey Harrison, Dorothy Petty, Marvin Dodson, Lawrence Dodson, Winfred Dodson.
Trudy is survived by her son, Charles Jinkerson, Jr.; step-children, Twyla Petersen & husband Neil, Rodney Brown, Althea Wormgoor & husband Randell, Nathaniel Brown & wife Andrea; two grandchildren, Aarin and Anna Jinkerson; niece, Rosemary Berry. Several nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Farmington on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at Noon with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Farmington – Benevolent Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
