Vernedda (Hammack) Tenholder

Vernedda (Hammack) Tenholder, 85 of Bonne Terre, passed away October 28, 2012 at St. Joe Manor. She was born June 24, 1927. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She had a passion for decorating, was the Office Secretary for Merchants Wholesalers. Vernedda was loved by many.She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Tenholder Sr.; parents Phillip Lee and Myrtle (Shannon) Hammack; brothers James and Charles Hammack. Vernedda is survived by sons Ted (Diana) Tenholder of Bonne Terre, Ed(Kathy) Tenholder of Bonne Terre, and Paul Tenholder and Jeff Beeler of Festus; grandchildren Julie Hosking, Lori (Matt) Sumski, Eric (Karie) Pirtle, and Ryan (Lindsey) Pirtle; great-grandchildren Savanna Hosking, Sally Hosking, Logan Sumski, and Josie Pirtle.Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. John Schneider officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
