Virgil Lee Carr, Jr.

Mr. Virgil Lee Carr, Jr., passed away early Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Festus, Missouri, at the age of 74 years, 7 months & 19 days. Virgil was born on October 23, 1937, in Elvins, Missouri, and was the son of Virgil Lee Carr, Sr., and Eva Marie 'Lewis' Carr McFarland. Also preceding-in-death were: his 1st wife, Helen 'Jenkins' Carr; his 2nd wife, Mary 'LaPlant' Carr and a Step-Daughter, Connie Linaman.

Virgil was a pilot and loved flying his Grumman AA5's & other aircraft throughout his career.

Survivors Include : his wife, Mary Ellen 'Henderson' Hurst Carr, of Farmington. 2 Daughters: Maryilee (& Steve) Medley, of St. Louis; Melody (& Gary) Kiyohara, of Irvine, California. 1 Son: Mike Carr, of Oregon. 1 Step-Son: Howard Hurst (& Kimberly), of Farmington; 2 Sisters: Shirley McNabb, and Special Friend, My Vann, of Farmington; Susan (& Don) Pritchett, of Sullivan, MO. 5 Grandchildren: Damien (& Starr) Carr; Courtney Carr; Grace Kessels; Grant & Ian Kiyohara. Step-Grandchildren: Willie & Devan Hurst; Chris Noll & Casey Beam. 5 Step Great-Grandchildren; 1 Niece & 2 Nephews. Also, Special Friends: Kirk Gallagher; Glenwood McNabb & Lourdes Wilson.

Visitation Starts : Friday @ 10:00 a.m.

Funeral : Friday, 2:00 p.m., June 15, 2012,
