Virginia Berniece Hamblin

Virginia Berniece Hamblin, age 86 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown. She was born on March 28, 1937, in Fredericktown, to George Washington and Estella (Adams) Sample.

On May 14, 1955, in Tunica, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Edgar Levi Hamblin, he preceded her in death on December 14, 2019.

She is survived by her four children – Melvin (Katherine) Hamblin, Donald (Tina Thurman) Hamblin, Barbara Powell, and Debra (Richard) Lamb all of Fredericktown; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Virginia was a homemaker; she enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting, and working in her flower beds.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 28, 2023, also at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Phillips officiating .

Interment will be at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.
