Mrs. Virginia L. Reynierse, age 88, formerly of Farmington, and resident of Normal, IL, since 2005, passed away Monday afternoon, Nov. 10, 2008, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Normal.

She was born April 25, 1920, at Kirksville, MO., to the late George William Davis and Ella Maude (Kirby) Davis. She attended Kirksville State Teachers College and taught at a one-room schoolhouse, prior to her marriage to Peter C. Reynierse, D.O.

Mrs. Reynierse was a member of Farmington Presbyterian Church; former member of: * The Monday Club; * The Twenty Five Garden Club and the Farmington Public Library Board. She enjoyed travel with her family, gardening & appreciating the beauty of nature.

Virginia is survived by her sons: Father Peter J. (& Julianne) Reynierse, of Gaithersburg, MD; Michael G. Reynierse (& Nikki Murdick), of St. Louis, MO, and daughter, Rebecca J. (& Peter) Bidwell, of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are grandsons: LTC Peter M. (& Elizabeth) Reynierse, of Washington, D.C., Ian A. Reynierse, of Ridley Park, PA. Granddaughters: Michelle L. (& Tim) Grant, of St. Louis, MO; Charlotte V. (& Samuel) Steele, of Claremont, VA. Her 18 Great-Grandchildren, and her Sisters-In-Law: Mabel 'Mrs. George A.' Davis, of Terre Haute, IN; and LaVerne (Mrs. Jack C.) Davis, of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded-in-death by: her husband of 63 years, Peter (March 22, 2006), and her brothers: George A. Davis and Jack C. Davis.

Visitation : Friday, 7-9 p.m., Nov. 21st, at TAYLOR Funeral Service

Funeral : Saturday, 11:00 a.m., Nov. 22nd

at : Farmington First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Paul Bembower.

Interment following at Masonic Cemetery, Farmington.
