Virginia “Carolyn” McKie of Middlebrook, Missouri passed away July 4, 2018 at her home at the age of 71 years. She was born October 9, 1946 in Pontotoc, Mississippi the daughter of the late John Preston and Ida Pearl (Baker) Campbell. On June 1, 1968 she was united in marriage to Nathan W. McKie who survives and resides in Middlebrook. To this union three children were born; Nathan “Nate” McKie Jr. (Kelli) of University City, Missouri, Laura Baker (Jeff) of Columbia, Missouri, and James McKie of St. Louis, Missouri. Carolyn is also survived by two brothers; Preston Campbell and wife Melissa and Tom Campbell both of Pontotoc, Mississippi, her sister; Susan Wann and husband, Bert of Brandon, Mississippi, nine grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carolyn was a member of Belleview United Methodist Church. Prior to moving to the Arcadia Valley she was a member of Salem Ladue United Methodist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. She served as the Director of Congregational Care at Salem Ladue United Methodist Church and she was involved in numerous church groups and activities. Carolyn completed her undergraduate studies at Ole’ Miss. She then earned her Master of Arts degree in Art Education from Delta State University. Memorial services will be held on July 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherri Squires officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. There will also be a memorial services in Pontotoc, MS., First United Methodist Church, July 21, at 2:30 PM.
