Virginia Melinda Gillam

Mrs. Virginia Melinda 'Sheppard' Gillam passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2009, at her Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence at the age of 89 years, 10 months & 17 days. Virginia was born on Oct. 8, 1919, in Fredericktown, Missouri, to Val Sheppard & Ada Bernice 'Cunningham' Sheppard. Also preceding-in-death was her husband, Harold Glenwood Gillam (June 13, 2006); 1 Sister, Lillian M. Sheppard & 1 Brother, Warren Sheppard.

Virginia was a longtime, faithful member of Farmington 1st Baptist Church. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter HJ & a member of The Monday Club.

Survivors Include : Nieces & Nephews - Elaine (& Jim) Spradlin, of Marshfield, Missouri; Paul Wayne (& Pam) Gillam, of Branson, Missouri; Dr. Brad (& Krista) Gillam, of Shelbyville, Tennessee; Jeff (& Dawn) Gillam, of Bastrop, TX. A Special Cousin: Mary Catherine Jaskower, of Cupertino, California. Also surviving are numerous Great-Nieces; Great-Nephews & friends.

Visitation starts : Thursday @ 9:30 a.m., August 27, 2009.

Funeral : Thursday, 2:00 p.m., August 27, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral CHAPEL, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.

Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
