Virginia "Peaches" Halter

Virginia Halter, 80, of Belleview, passed away November 19, 2015 at Barnes Jewish, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 1, 1935 in Bismarck, to the late Acey John and Berdine (Williams) Moore. Virginia was known to many as “Peaches.”               She was preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter in-law, Stanley and Tammy Halter; three brothers, Charles, Mickey, and Jerry Moore; three sisters, Rosie Casteel, Dorothy “Dot” Gibson, and Lola Craig.               Virginia is survived by six children, Vernon Dale “Spud” (Sue Degonia) Halter of Bonne Terre, Bonnie (David) Hassell of Bismarck, Darlene Snider of Bonne Terre, Marty Halter of Park Hills, Donald “Crow” (Chrissy) Halter of Bismarck, and Douglas (Misty) Halter of Park Hills; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; very close friend of 13 years, Randall Hatridge; three brothers, Melvin Moore and wife Tammy, John Moore and wife Velma, Gilbert Moore and wife Kim; sister in-law, Wanda Moore; and many nieces and nephews also survive.               Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
