Vivian Elizabeth Talmage of Bismarck, Missouri passed away November 7, 2020 at her residence at the age of 90 years. She was born February 26, 1930 in Banner, Missouri the daughter of the late Ernest and Molly (Keesling) Stricklin. On December 2, 1951 she was united in marriage to Jay Warren Talmage who preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. To this union two children were born; Connie Poteet and husband, Robert of Florissant, Missouri and Michael Talmage who preceded her in death in 2008. Vivian is also survived by her brother, Dr. Ray Stricklin and his wife, Margie of Crystal City, Missouri, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and son, Vivian was preceded in death by two sisters; Virginia Wilkins and Gladys “Ruth” Henson. Vivian was a long time member of Belleview United Methodist Church. She was quite independent, and some would say she had a stubborn streak. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. Vivian was a homemaker who took great care of her family, especially Michael. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and card club. All family members and guests are required to wear a mask while visiting our facility. Social distancing is also expected to keep family members and staff safe. Seating has been reduced to accommodate social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
