Walter Ronald Langhoff, age 87, of Marquand, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on July 20, 1937, in Pomona, California to Walter and Veryl (Ewert) Langhoff of Bloomington, Illinois.
On May 1, 1992, he was united in marriage to Carol Jo Parson, she survives in Marquand.
Other survivors include one son - Joseph Langhoff, and two daughters – Stacie Pederson and Polly Langhoff; stepdaughters – Annette (Omar) Shipley and Tracy Bellew; stepsons – Jesse Bellew and Johnny Starkey; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Langhoff on March 29, 1991; an infant daughter, Jessica Langhoff; sisters – Carol Feltenberger, Bonnie Baize and Judy Reed and Brother – Bobbie Brice.
Walter was a United States Army Veteran; he had worked several different jobs during his working career; a police officer, maintenance superintendent, tugboat engineer, carpenter and most recently as a self-employed truck driver; he loved spending time with his family, playing the guitar and working in his shop.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
