Wanda Lee Russell

Wanda Lee Russell of Ironton, Missouri passed away May 7, 2018 at the age of 87 years. She was born April 5, 1931 the daughter of the late John Edgar and Eva (King) Young. On July 23, 1951 Wanda was united in marriage to George E. Russell who preceded her in death on May 15, 1983. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Persons and Carol Reed. Wanda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Russell and Sue McCanless of Ironton, Missouri, two sisters; Wilda Blanton of Arcadia, Missouri, and Ruth Schrum of O'Fallon, Missouri, a granddaughter, Marti McCanless as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wanda was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Arcadia. She was active in her church and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Wanda also worked many years for the old St. Mary's Hospital, the Brown Shoe Company, the Stricklin family and finally the City of Ironton.
