Wayne Clarence Davis

Wayne Davis, 78, of Bonne Terre passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born Wednesday, July 26, 1944 in St. Louis, to the late Lee and Alberta (Landzettel) Davis. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a retiree from Burlington-Northern Railroad.  Wayne’s passion was fishing, being outdoors, hunting, boating and was a certified scuba diver instructor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and George Davis.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Brenda (Schwent) Davis; children, David (wife Patricia) Davis, Diane (husband Melvin) Gutierrez, Travis (wife Christine) Phillips Brandon (Tara) Phillips; grandchildren, Michele (Benjamin) Weaver, Aimee Ward, Melvin and Joshua Gutierrez, Kiana Phillips William, Brenden and Ethan Weaver; sister-in-law, Linda and Rose Davis, along with several nephews and nieces. Wayne will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private celebration of life will be held in September. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
