Wendell Eugene Thomure

Wendell Eugene Thomure passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Hospital, St. Louis County, MO., at the age of 80 years, 10 months & 7 days. Wendell was born March 16, 1927, in Desloge, MO., & was the son of Ralph Antone Thomure & Pearl 'Smith' Thomure. Also preceding were: his wife, Dorothy Hilda 'Lueddecke' Thomure (May 2, 2002); 1 son, in-infancy, Walter Thomure; 2 Sisters: Ruby Bequetle & Margaret Cox. Also, 4 Brothers: Walter Eugene Thomure; Ralph A. Thomure, Jr., Johnnie Thomure & Harold Gene Thomure.

Wendell was a US ARMY Veteran; a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Farmington; a 32nd Degree Mason & member, Scottish Rite.

Survivors Include: 3 Sons: David (& Leanna) Thomure, of Springfield, MO; Charles (& Chris) Thomure, of Farmington; Mike (& Jackie) Thomure, of Hillsboro. 1 Sister, Dee Schantz, of Sacramento, CA; 3 Brothers: Frances Thomure, of Farmington; Ron (& Karen) Thomure, of Michigan; Bobby Baird, of St. Louis. Also, 7 Grandchildren & 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation : Friday, 6-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday @ 7 am

Masonic Lodge Blue Services : Friday evening @ 6:30, VFW Service @ 7:00 p.m.

Funeral : Saturday, 1:00 p.m., January 26, 2008

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Jeff Brady officiating.

Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
