Mr. Wilburn C. Hayes passed away Jan. 28, 2009, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis Co., MO., at the age of 82 years, 6 months & 25 days. Wilburn was the son of Clinton & Flossie 'Smith' Hayes. Also preceding in death were: his wife, Martha 'Shoopman' Hayes (2006); 1 Son, Ronnie Hayes (1970); 2 Sisters: Dalena Wisdom & Ilene May. Also, 2 Brothers: Willard & Lowell Hays.

Wilburn was a US ARMY Veteran of World War II and a member of the Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church. He was the former owner/operator of: * Hayes Service Station in downtown Farmington for many years; * Ozark Village; * Hayes Gulf & * Hayes Shell.

Survivors Include : 1 Daughter, Karen 'Mrs. Harold' Marler, of Farmington; 2 Sons: Wilburn Lavern (& Jane) Hayes, of Park Hills; Mike (& Tammy) Hayes, of Farmington. 3 Sisters: Roberta 'Mrs. Lee' Smith; Betty 'Mrs. Dallas' Huffman & Flossie Pogue, all of Fredericktown. 2 Brothers: Tommy (Charlotte) Hayes, of Park Hills & Bobby (& Doris) Hayes, of Imperial. 5 Grandchildren: Candy 'Mrs. Ernie' Acton; Rhonda Smith; Chad (& Jennefer) Marler; Chris Hayes (& girlfriend, Jennifer Stanfil); Kristen Hayes (& fiancee, Matt Dotson). Also surviving are 6 Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation : Saturday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Sunday, 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Sunday, 1:00 p.m., February 1, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Al Winebarger officiating.

Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
