William Banks Sr.

 William J. Banks Sr., 68, of Leadwood passed away March 17, 2017 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital. He was born January 19, 1949 in Leadwood to the late Walter and Marie (Gillam) Banks.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Banks.

William was a former longtime employee of Flat River Glass.  He was an avid outdoorsman, spending many weekends’ bass fishing in tournaments or week long hunting trips, he loved it all.  He was a past member of Ducks Unlimited, the NRA, and a lifetime member of B.A.S.S.

William is survived by his wife, Kathy (Horton) Banks, three sons, Bill (Tammy) Banks Jr., Chris Banks, and Aaron (Stacy) Banks; grandchildren, Tucker, Garrett, Nathan, and Houston; two sisters, Beverly (Bob) Burgess, Wanda (Daniel) Compton; three brothers,  Rick (Jan) Banks, Ronnie (Grace) Banks, Alvin (Becky) Banks.

Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 5 pm until time of the memorial service at 6 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
