William “Bill” Kenneth Lee, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of 94. He was born on Thursday, April 2, 1931, in Caryville, Florida, and made his home in Bonne Terre.
Bill was preceded in death by, his parents Charles S. and Molly B. (Wise) Lee; mother to his children Jeanette Lee and several brothers and sisters. William, affectionately known as "Bill," proudly served in the United States Army, where he attained the rank Sergeant First Class. His military career spanned a decade, reflecting his commitment to his country and the values he cherished. Following his military service, he joined McDonnell-Douglas, where he dedicated his professional life to the Aeronautics and Space Division, contributing significantly to advancements in aircraft engineering until his retirement as an Electronics Engineer.
A 32nd Degree member of the Masons, Bill was a man of integrity and strength, qualities that will forever inspire those left behind. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his loved ones, reminding them to cherish every moment, embrace their passions, and care for one another. While he may have departed from this life, his legacy of service, love, and dedication will endure as a guiding light for future generations.
In addition to his successful career, Bill had a passion for the outdoors, spending time on the farm he cherished, caring for his horses, and nurturing a deep appreciation for wildlife. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—feeding stray animals, fishing, hunting, water skiing, and boating. A skilled chess player and card enthusiast, Bill enjoyed many friendly competitions with family and friends.
Above all, Bill was a loving husband to his wife Jenny Lee and a devoted father to his children, Ken (Kathy), Joe (Judy), Cindy (Steve) Heine, Charles Lee, Steven Kent and Susan Dominguer; grandfather to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. His legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
To honor Bill’s remarkable life, friends and family can offer to pay their respects during public visitation on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. A private family burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
