William Ormund Bullis

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William Ormund Bullis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on October 9, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on June 26, 1942, in Rochester, New York, William dedicated his life to the service of his country and the well-being of his family. William served honorably in the United States Navy, where he distinguished himself as a helicopter maintenance technician. His career allowed him to travel the world, and his experiences in the Navy shaped his character and work ethic. Upon retiring, William carried the same dedication and commitment into his family life, becoming a cherished figure to those he loved most.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Bullis; his daughter, Catina Bullis; his son, Chris (Mary) Bullis; and his beloved grandchildren, Hayden and Kaitlyn Bullis. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Kessler.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Ormund and Katherine (Bishop) Bullis and one sister, Joann Dylan.

William was a man of quiet strength and deep affection, who found joy and purpose in the company of his family. His legacy will live on through the memories shared and the lessons imparted to those he touched.

Visitation will be held at Bryson Funeral Home in Pilot Knob, Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11 AM. Pastor Randy Kranning will be officiating. Interment will follow at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton.
