William Grover (Warren) Frye of Ironton, Missouri passed away March 9, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 55 years. He was born April 18, 1968, the son of the late Newton Gale Warren and Wanda Violet (Vance) Deromedi of Ironton, Missouri. In addition to his mother and stepfather: Wanda and James Deromedi of Ironton, Missouri, Billy is survived by his husband: Scott Frye of Massachusetts, his sisters: Chrystal Warren (Rick Kastanko) of Ironton, Missouri, Paula Warren of Hermitage, Tennessee, Pamela Dyer (Justin) of Pacific, Missouri, and Barbara Windell (Chris) of Ironton, Missouri. Two brothers survive: Jeremy Criteser of Farmington, Missouri, and Michael Criteser (April) of Ironton, Missouri as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Billy was a college graduate and earned a Master of Arts degree in media and communications. He loved writing poems and short stories. He loved photography and worked in a studio in his earlier years. Billy was a kind, smart, adventurous soul. He was full of kindness for everyone and truly never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Billy enjoyed the outdoors, and anything associated with being outside. He loved to go camping and sightseeing. He just loved to be on the go and couldn’t sit still. Some of his adventures included traveling to L.A., the Grand Canyon, Israel, and Hawaii. He liked ghost adventure hunting and was in a group of ghost hunters when he lived in Massachusetts. He also looked forward to the annual sandcastle building on the beach in Massachusetts. Above all else he loved his family and the time he got to spend with them was more important than anything else. He was a great brother, husband, uncle and nephew, but most of all a wonderful son. Billy recently returned to Missouri to be closer to his family and the time they got to spend with him will be forever treasured. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on June 7, 2024 at K of P cemetery in Ironton, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
