William Ray Kirkpatrick

William Ray Kirkpatrick known to most as “Bill” passed away at his home on November 23, 2023 at the age of 66 years. He was born September 16, 1957 in DuQuoin, Illinois the son of the late Edley and Eva (Stowers) Kirkpatrick. On September 2, 1977 he was united in marriage to Lillian “Kathy” Montgomery. She survives and resides in Pilot Knob. From this union Bill gained three bonus daughters: Evelyn Tebow who preceded him in death, Lillian “Kay” Pippin and husband, Greg of Annapolis, Missouri and Debbie Johnston of Pilot Knob, Missouri. Bill is also survived by four brothers: Frank Elledge (Janice) of Pilot Knob, Paul Elledge (Lyndi) of Pilot Knob, Joe Elledge of Louisiana, and Herschel Elledge of Ironton, Missouri. Ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren are also left to mourn Bill’s passing as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Bill was preceded in death by two brothers: Ed Kirkpatrick and Danny Elledge. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed watching Nascar races and westerns on television. He liked to deer hunt but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. At this time no funeral services are planned but a memorial gathering will be held at a future date. Information will be posted here when that information becomes available.
