"Fred"

William Frederick Strand "Fred", age 90 passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at his home in Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on June 2, 1933, in Dinuba, California to Eric Frederick and Bertie Ellen (Ginn) Strand.

On May 29, 1956, in Tulare, California, he was united in marriage to Illa Mae Callison, she preceded him in death on March 25, 2013.

He is survived by his three children – Hope (Mark) Ballew, Charles Strand, and Carl Strand; sister – Joyce Hampton; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by one sister – Peg Furman.

Fred was a United States Army Veteran; he had worked for Cam Chemical in California as plant manager and was a WWII military plane enthusiast and a member of the CAF (Commemorative Air Force) MO Wing.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., also on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating. Military Honors following.

Internment will be at a later date.
