Wilma Lou Johnson

Wilma Lou Johnson of Ironton, Missouri passed away April 29, 2024 at Meadowbrook Residential Care at the age of 84 years. She was born October 7, 1939 in Piedmont, Missouri, the only child of the late Thomas and Mildred (Evans) Reed. On January 19, 1958 she was united in marriage to Harold Lueddecke and to this union a daughter, Diana Treadway, was born. On December 15, 1964 Wilma married George T. Johnson who preceded her in death on April 26, 2009. They were parents to two daughters: Cindy Bennett and Kathy Stricklin. Wilma is also survived by her stepson, Steve Johnson and his wife, Donna, ten grandchildren, a special cousin, Jane Ann Pepmiller of Doniphan, Missouri as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Also surviving is the family who helped in every way, thru good times and bad, especially after the loss of her husband….the McAdams family; Steve and Laurie, Morgan, Grant, Ross, and Dani. Wilma gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized in 1949. She was a member of Arcadia Valley Community Church. Wilma loved to be outside and was an avid gardener. She also loved to read and work puzzles. She enjoyed making quilt tops and watercolor painting. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Steve McAdams and Randy Dettmer officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park with her beloved husband, George. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
