Zelma Alice Carr of Arcadia, 82 years young of Arcadia, MO passed away May 16, 2012 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born November 9, 1929 in Roaring Springs, Texas to Wesley and Dorothy (Anderson) Redding.
On February 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Roy Carr, for 62 years, who survives. To this union three children were born; Donna and husband Pat McDowell of Ironton, Dudley and wife Floella Carr of Arcadia, and Hayley and husband Scott Elser of Doe Run. Also surviving are four grandchildren; J.R. (Nicki) McDowell, Corri (Jamie) Wiles, Morgan Carr and Ty Elser, four great-grandchildren; Lexi, Krystabell and A.J. Wiles and Aniston McDowell, two brothers; Roy Redding of Lubbock, TX, John Redding of Floydada, TX, and a sister, Fay Poynor of Lubbock, TX, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Zelma was preceded in death by a sister; Hazel Conord, a brother, Doyle Redding and a grandson Kirk McDowell.
She was a housewife and secretary for Carr Drilling Company for many years....
