Zelma Deloris Jacobs, age 87 of Farmington, Missouri (formerly of Fredericktown, Missouri) passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born on January 13, 1937, in DeSoto, Missouri to Stanford and Maggie May (Loyd) Britton.
   
  
On May 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert Earl Jacobs, he preceded her in death on April 21, 1982.
   
  
She is survived by her children; Ron (Rita) Jacobs of Fredericktown, Dian (Chester) Skaggs of Farmington and Pam Gibson of Fredericktown; one sister – Alma (Virgil) McWhorter of Salem, Missouri; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
   
  
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother – Raymond Britton; six sisters – Netta McCall, Wanda Mathes, Berniece Miller, Joyce Edgar, Joy McDaniel and Alberta Jacobs.
   
  
Zelma was a homemaker, she enjoyed quilting, playing bingo in the nursing home and reading her Bible; she was a member of the Open Door Tabernacle Church in Fredericktown.
   
  
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Boss Cemetery in Boss, Missouri with Pastor Bill Mathes officiating.
