Roy Johnson

February 11, 1952 ~ September 23, 2021

 

     Roy Johnson, 69 of Bonne Terre, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, Sept 23, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Monday, February 11, 1952 in Bonne Terre, to Wallace and Billie (Black) Johnson.

     Roy was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Pete and Bobbie Yoder; one brother Glen Johnson.

     He is survived by his wife of 33 years Joyce Johnson; four children, Misty, Shawn, Dani, and Dee; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two siblings, along with numerous extended family and friends.

    As many knew, Roy was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing, especially with Greg Mund, were just a few things he loved doing. His dog Ellie was his best friend. Nascar kept him occupied during his free time. Being a mechanic was one of his many talents that also allowed him to help others. For over 30 years he was a wonderful husband and father. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

     Memorial visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021  beginning at 5 pm until service time of 7pm with Pastor Greg McCord officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Boyer Chapel in Bonne Terre.

  2. Joyce dang I hate hearing this! Roy was such a sweet passive guy I know how happy you were together & maybe now they can clear up his brothers death. We won't know about it but they will. I lve u like a sister I've known you all my life both of you! It's to sad Joycey I will see u Thurs if I'm feeling up to it love u honey!

    Tony and I just heard about Roy passing away. Tony thought a lot of Roy, as a co-worker, lunch buddie, and friend at B&B Oldsmobile. We are so sorry for your loss. Your family's in our prayers.
